Building Information Modelling
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is used to create models of buildings that react to change in the same way that the real building would. This gives you the ability to see how the building will be affected through various natural and developmental processes and allows for a more integrated approach to construction.
One of BIM's main advantages is that it can save costs on a project, as well as saving time, much in the same way that using CAD software would. However, as opposed to CAD, which shows construction elements with lines defining its geometry, BIM shows each element as an intelligent object which contains much more detailed information beyond the physical dimensions. BIM is therefore extremely useful when it comes to construction projects and the design can be used long after construction to help building owners optimise maintenance, renovations and costs.
Here at Hope Draughting, we are experienced in BIM and BIM scanning, particularly when it comes to electrical projects. Our quality draughting and 3D modelling service benefits engineers, design consultants, installers and manufacturers. If you would like to discuss your latest project with our highly qualified and experienced team, then please do not hesitate to get in touch on 0151 425 4878.
